July 14 GROUP PRESENTATIONS

For the Group Presentation, we will divide ourselves into 4 groups, and each group shall present on 1 out of the several discussion topics (see list).

Each group has 15 minutes (Group 4 has 20min) to present and they are expected to present,

1)    Argument(s): Engage with certain analytical framework (=keyword; concept; main arguments etc.) by referring to the literature offered in the syllabus (external references are welcome, but not a must; if you need me to help you with the literature, please do let me know);

2)    Example(s): mainly engage films/other visual materials used in the class; if there is no specific film used in any lecture, other films are possible as well. But please do not use too much time retelling a story unless that’d be the focus of the presentation;

3)    We will carry out inter-group Q&A session; details TBA.

Remember: you do NOT have to exhaust every aspect possible about certain topic, and there is no need to offer many examples either. Try to offer your audiences a big picture first, then make specific discussions so they could follow how you unpack the arguments by referring to your examples.

Flow of the presentation is up to the team members; we do encourage you to present with visuals (such as PPTs/KEYNOTE/Prezi etc. Also, share your presentation files beforehand in a folder (TBA)
